The Armored Group, LLC (TAG) began in 1992. Our focus was exclusively on the Cash-In-Transit (CIT) business, with the simple goal of regarding each client with the highest level of respect by delivering to them the ultimate in safety within every vehicle we built. We also maintained the flexibility that would ensure that each of their needs would be met individually. Within a short period, we established ourselves as the leading builder of Cash-In-Transit vehicles in America.
Moving forward with our efforts, our focus expanded into two other distinct markets. The first was Law Enforcement, with SWAT, Police and Tactical vehicle manufacturing. The second was comprised of the high-end passenger vehicles and SUV's for private and corporate clients from around the world. After being awarded a contract to armor the Toyota Land Cruiser for the United Nations (UN) worldwide, we made the leap into the international market. Today, The Armored Group, LLC has grown to become one of the largest full line commercial armored truck suppliers in the country, and continues to set the standard for customization, reliability and protection.
With three (3) manufacturing locations, we are well positioned to compete with anyone on Price, Quality, and Delivery Time. Our world class engineering and design team has the capability and experience to design and build everything from an armored pick-up truck to off road 4x4 APC vehicle and anything in between. We specialize in these three categories of armored vehicles: Armored personnel carriers, personal protection vehicles and cash-in-transit vehicles. Our global company specializes in developing and marketing armored vehicles in both the domestic United States and International markets. The diversity we offer through multiple manufacturing locations and different specialization abilities ensures that our customers will receive a vehicle best suited to their individual needs.
With sales and servicing locations in multiple countries, we are fully capable of reacting to the needs of our customers. By sharing knowledge between our plants, sales and servicing locations in these different countries, we can stay abreast of new and changing technology as well as safety and security issues. We are proficient in assessing what works and what does not, and take pride in our ability to make the rapid changes necessary to fit the needs of our customers.
Our integrity is backed by stringent quality controls, proven manufacturing systems and world-class certifications that meet the highest standards of safety. We are especially proud of our recent VPAM-BVR 2009/VR7 Ballistic EVR 2010 Blast Certification, which we received for both our Toyota Land Cruiser and our Toyota Hilux armoring solutions. This certification is based upon the rigorous and extreme testing of the independent ballistic testing laboratories of Beschussamt in Ulm, Germany, and demonstrates our commitment to occupant safety. In addition each of our production facilities in Canada, Dubai and Detroit are ISO 9001 certified, and managed by experienced professionals equipped to service customers and fulfill orders around the world.
As a longtime member of the Independent Armored Car Operator's Association (IACOA), The Armored Group, LLC takes an aggressive approach in our constant effort to increase safety for our cash movers. We are GSA approved with a list of clients that include:
